Fourth International Semantic Web and Linked Open Data

The Fourth International Semantic Web and Linked Open Data workshop (ISW-LOD) takes place on November at San Jose, Costa Rica. Co-located with IBERAMIA 2016.

ISW-LOD is a forum for the semantic web and linked open data communities, where practitioners in industry, academia and others interested in these topics are welcome for describing real and potential applications, share experience and discuss the latest scientific results and technology innovations around semantic technologies and linked open data.

The goal of ISW-LOD is not only to create an interlinked web of knowledge on these topics in Mexico, but also to network with international and consolidated communities. This aim requires the collaboration of many disciplines shown in the CFP and the workshop try to be a forum to encourage participants to work together and establish some kind of collaboration. We encourage both the participation of national and international communities: industry, academia, master and doctoral students to participate in this workshop, in order to create an interlinked Iberoamerican community about this topics.

The International Workshop on Knowledge Acquisition, Reuse and Evaluation aims to bring together researchers, scientists, engineers, and scholar students to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and research results about all aspects of Knowledge, Ontology, Sermantic Web or Knowledge Engineering. We will discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.

This workshop will focus on the theoreticians and practitioners concerned with developing methods and systems that assist the knowledge management process and assessing the suitability of such methods. Thus, the workshop includes all aspects of acquiring, modeling and managing knowledge, and their role in the construction of knowledge-based systems. Knowledge acquisition still remains the bottleneck for building a knowledge based system. Reuse and sharing of knowledge bases are major issues and no satisfactory solutions have been agreed upon yet.
